Today, the IMS 6th grade students came down to IPS to begin their small group projects with our 2nd graders for our Cultural Fair. They played human bingo and have begun working on the culture they will present at the Fair!
⭐️Save the date for our Culture Fair on Thursday, April 25th from 6:30-8pm. ⭐️
We look forward to a night with students, staff, family, community members and local restaurants! 🌎❤️

We can't wait till April 30th when the Clinic hosts our 8th graders at their main campus to tour the facility, experience the Clinic culture, and check out their state of the art simulation center!

IMS teachers continue to meet and use student assessment data to drive instructional change. Data teams from IPS and IMS unpacked our fall benchmarking results and talk about supporting student master. Teachers continue to refresh their understanding of the tools we have to support struggling learners and push our advanced students.
iReady benchmark assessments help identify specific Learning Standards where students are "below grade level", "early grade level, "on grade level", and above grade level. This information helps teachers organize small group learning, whole group instruction, and when they might need to return to a lesson that students did not master.

Mark your calendars for the weekend of March 22! Homework-free weekend and Sunday, March 24 there will be no ILS activities so families can spend the evening together!

Many thanks to all our counselors for guiding and empowering our students academically, socially and emotionally! #iPride

IMS is so grateful to Mrs. McClain and the impact she continues to have on the lives of our staff and students - we can't thank you enough for ALL that you do!!

Today our 8th graders participated in the first of a four-part immersive career exploration experience with the Cleveland Clinic!
The Cleveland Clinic Center for Youth and College Education has been working with Amanda Jaronowski, Jamie Vanek & Ben Hegedish to design this multi-step partnership. The Clinic is sending experts from different fields to IMS over the course of several weeks to talk with our 8th graders, sharing the multitude of healthcare opportunities ranging from medical caregivers to engineers, art curators to A.I. specialists, and so much more!
At the end of this experience the Clinic will host the entire 8th grade at their main campus for a day, where they will visit the state of the art simulation center, take a behind the scenes tour of main campus, have lunch with employees, and immerse themselves in the Clinic culture for a day.

Our first All-Pro Parent Breakfast of 2024 is this Friday 1/26 at 7:15am for 5th Grade 💙💛 Hope to see you there!
