The grade 4 culinary immersion project was a success today! Students planned a menu, prepared, and served families and staff today at the high school! Thank you Amanda Jaronowski, Francine Kane, and the IHS cafeteria staff helping provide this experience for our students!

The Integrated Preschool Program at Independence Primary School currently has openings for the 2024-2025 school year. Information about our program and application can be found on the Independence Preschool website (https://sites.google.com/independence.k12.oh.us/prek) or picked up at the Independence Primary School office. These will be available the week of November 28th. The application deadline is Friday, January 26th, 2024. A screening for all incoming peers will take place on Friday, February 16th, 2024. As part of the IPS Career Immersion Projects, students met weekly to film, edit and produce this second edition of "IPS Live!" Topics include Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving and The Hunger Network/Front Steps.

Kindergarteners used pattern blocks to create seasonal shapes. some of these included a snowflake, snowman, wreath and a gift box. This activity allowed them to practice their problem-solving skills through trial and error. #iPride

And after off we went to the preschool holiday party! Our preschool students did a great job performing for parents and family members!

It's Hour of Code week! IPS students in Design Technology are taking on coding challenges! Today 3rd graders learned AI & trained and tested a machine learning model, then combined AI & code to create a virtual dance party! #ReadySetCode #iPride

Holiday Hope - Stuff the Bus 2023 🚌

Over the past few weeks, IPS 4th graders have been working on assembling different models of Lego Boost robots. Once all are completed, students will have the opportunity to program each one to perform various tasks! Great job, students!








Mental Health/Disability Awareness Day at IPS! A true collaborative effort of city and school resources to help our students mental health and teach acceptance. Stations included sign language, deep breathing, fine motor, acceptance of differences, and use of senses.










Gobble Gobble! Students in first grade were challenged to build a turkey with Brainflakes. This enabled students to showcase their creativity and imagination. Each turkey was unique, promoting a sense of innovation and originality among the students!










Substitute teachers play a vital role in our schools! We thank you for stepping in on short notice to keep classrooms running smoothly. Your dedication allows uninterrupted learning when teachers are absent. We celebrate your service to our students!
