Mrs. Whitacre's 7th Grade FCS students planned a lab to decorate cookies for a contest today! 🍪 Every group was assigned a different spooky theme 🎃👻🦇🧙♀️ The students were so creative with their decorations and had so much fun! 💙💛






Today IMS was honored to host author and engineer Rebecca Barone! 💙💛 Our 5th and 6th graders participated in an assembly, Q&A session, and autograph signing ✍️ this morning. Students enjoyed hearing about how she was able to combine her background in math and science with her love of reading 📚 to form the basis of her successful career as an author!







Yesterday, aspiring scientists in the Independence Junior Biology Society attended a fall hike at the Land Lab 🍁 🐸🐞🐾 Students took time to observe the ways the woodland organisms prepare for winter, as well as spent individual time exploring!

Did you know that 5th graders have the opportunity to take Theater class with Mrs. Obrovac as a part of their Cornerstone curriculum? This past week, they worked on performing partner scenes- learning stage directions, interpreting emotion from the text and getting comfortable speaking in front of peers! 🎭

Due to staff illness and injury, we will have to run double routes this afternoon.
The high school and middle school students that ride bus 18 will be dismissed at 2:20 p.m. and arrive home about 20 minutes earlier.
The high school middle school students that ride bus 7 will be home about 20 - 30 minutes later.
The primary school students that ride bus 7 will also be home approximately 30 minutes later this afternoon.
Parents are welcome to pick up their children at school.
