The 6th and 2nd graders had a wonderful afternoon together at Elmwood Park today to celebrate new friends and all their hard work. 6th-grade parents donated snacks and treats and helped pass out all the goodies while the teachers hosted multiple stations of music and dancing, chalk, field games and time at the park.

So proud of our IMS Music Department! 💙💛 Our 7th/8th grade choir made history a few weeks ago by being the first IMS choir ever to compete in the OMEA Large Group Contest, and earned Excellent and Superior ratings! 🎶 And yesterday our 7th/8th grade band performed at Cedar Point's Music in the Park and took 2nd place! 🎺🥁 Kudos to Gretchen Obrovac and Michael Greene for all you continue to do for our kids and music education in the district!! 👏🏼💙💛
Our 7th graders had an amazing trip to Dearborn, Michigan today! The day started with a tour of the Ford Rouge Factory, where the students got to witness the active assembly lines making Ford F-150’s ⚙️ Then they went to the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village, an immersive town and marketplace filled with functioning Model-T’s and artisans plying the trades of Henry Ford’s time.
Huge thanks to the architect of the trip, Dana Yaro-Linderman, and all of our wonderful chaperones! 💙💛 And to the IMS PTO for supplying water and snacks for the trip!
