The 6th and 2nd graders had a wonderful afternoon together at Elmwood Park today to celebrate new friends and all their hard work. 6th-grade parents donated snacks and treats and helped pass out all the goodies while the teachers hosted multiple stations of music and dancing, chalk, field games and time at the park.

IPS families, We wanted to let you know that IPS does not have power at the moment. We are working with the power company to restore it. If you need to reach anyone at IPS, please call central office at 216-642-5850. We are finishing our day as usual. Buses will not be impacted at dismissal. Thank you!

Calling all local food lovers in Independence! 🥕🌽🍅 Grace Brothers CSA is excited to kick off the CSA season in just 2 weeks on May 28. They'll be bringing fresh, locally-grown produce straight to the Independence community again this year. Pickups will be Fridays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Independence Middle School. May 31-Oct 25. In 2023, they delivered over 1,000 pounds of fresh local produce to 36 families in Independence. Want to learn more about the benefits of eating local? Come to a talk at the Independence Library on June 3 at 7 p.m. Grace Brothers will share insights on why local food is better for you, your community, and the environment.
