Allison Rose Foundation Fundraiser!
Independence Primary School will be supporting the Allison Rose Foundation this week.
Allison Suhy was a student here and a 2017 graduate of Independence.
On Wednesday, January 18th, we are asking for a $1.00 donation and to dress in yellow. This was Allison's favorite color!
Allison wanted to be an elementary school teacher, so with the donations, a wagon will be filled with books, games, and puzzles to be auctioned at the February 4th event. Your student can also donate something for the wagon if they want to be more involved.
To learn more about the Allison Rose Foundation, please visit the website at
www.allisonrosefoundation.org. The Allison Rose Foundation is a 501c3 tax-exempt organization, Tax ID# 83-1999490.
Thank you for your support and generosity!

Winter Recess!
Now that the cold weather is upon us and will be staying for a while, this is a reminder for the children to come to school dressed for the weather.
All students need warm coats, hats, gloves, and boots to participate in recess. To play in the snow, snow pants and waterproof gloves are required.
It might be cold and snowy outside, but inside, IPS students are staying warm and engaged.

Welcome, Officer Green!
Our new Independence Primary School SRO, Officer Green, stopped by the kindergarten classes with a special guest- K9 Rambo! The kids spoke with Officer Waidley about Rambo and what he does for the city.

Stuff the Bus was a huge success! 🚌 We filled half a bus full of toys, games, books, and clothing and delivered them to a very thankful Garfield Hts school staff this afternoon 🧸🚂📚 So grateful to our student council, PTO, and all our amazing IPS families for their generosity this holiday season!! 💙💛

A wonderful student-produced video that highlights our IPS students' experience last month at the Hunger Network and Front Steps. Well done, fourth graders and Mrs. Morosko! #iPride
