Day of the Ages was a huge success! From babies to grandparents, our Blue Devils showed up with amazing spirit and creativity. Can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow in their Halloween costumes-it’s going to be spooktacular! 👻

💗 On Wednesdays, we wear pink! 💗 Today our students proudly showed their support for Breast Cancer Awareness by wearing pink throughout the building. It was amazing to see our halls filled with color, compassion, and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who joined in to raise awareness and show that IMS stands together for a great cause!

Our halls were full of creativity today with the most outrageous, colorful, and crazy hats you can imagine! Tomorrow, we keep the spirit going-wear pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness and show your Blue Devil heart for a great cause! 💕

Huge shout out and thank you to Mr. Scarcella for coming to speak to 6th graders during advisory on his experience as a pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps and what it means to be a veteran. Thank you 🇺🇸 The 6th graders are taking part in the Wounded Warrior program to honor and serve vets as we approach Veterans Day.

🏆 Fall Sports Banquet Highlights 🏆 What an amazing evening celebrating our student-athletes! A huge thank-you to our incredible coaches, supportive parents, and hardworking athletes for an outstanding fall season filled with teamwork, growth, and great accomplishments. We are so proud of all you achieved-on and off the field! 💙💛

Pajama Day was pure cozy fun at IMS! Students and staff showed up ready to learn in their comfiest PJs. From fuzzy slippers to festive flannels, it was the perfect mix of comfort and school spirit. Tomorrow, we turn up the fun with Wacky Hat Day! Get creative, go bold, and show off those wild and wonderful hats, Blue Devils! 💙💛

🎃👻 What a spooktacular time at our Halloween Mixer! Students showed off their creativity in the costume contest, danced to great songs, and enjoyed plenty of spooky snacks and games! 🕸️🧁 A big thank you to everyone who helped make this frightfully fun night a success- PTO, parents, staff, and WEB leaders! 💙💛

🍁🔥 What a day! Our Fall Fest was a huge success -students enjoyed delicious food, a cozy bonfire, dancing, and fun games! A big thank you to our PTO and staff for making this evening such a memorable way to celebrate the season together. 💙💛

A huge thank you to our amazing PTO for sponsoring a wonderful 6th Grade Breakfast Bonds event!💙 Our students and families enjoyed delicious food, great conversations, and plenty of smiles to start the day. We’re so grateful for the continued support that helps make these special moments possible.

Our 8th graders took their creativity to the next level with their Historical Pumpkin Project! From Abe Lincoln to Apollo 11, WWII, the Salem Witch Trials, and so many more-each pumpkin told a story from the past in a fun, artistic way. We’re so proud of their hard work, imagination, and the way they brought history to life-one pumpkin at a time. 🎃

Our make-up meeting for 7th & 8th grade parents has been rescheduled to Monday, November 3 at 6 p.m. in the IHS auditorium. Join Principal Mike Janatovich to learn more about the pathways for graduation, programs, and opportunities available for all IHS students. While the presentation is geared toward parents, students are welcome to attend too!

📣 Attention 7th & 8th Grade Families! Independence High School will host an additional Options Meeting on Monday, October 27 at 6:00 PM in the high school auditorium.

During this meeting, Principal Mike Janatovich will share information about the many opportunities IHS offers — including academic pathways, graduation requirements, and programs that help every student thrive.

Parents are the intended audience, but students are also welcome to attend!

Our 7th graders put their culinary skills to the test in Family & Consumer Science this week by making their very own personal pizzas! From rolling dough to choosing toppings, students got a taste of teamwork, creativity, and responsibility-plus a delicious reward at the end. 🍕
