IMS Food Drive
The Annual IMS Food Drive was a huge success. This was the first year we collected cash to help buy grocery gift cards and we knocked it out of the park. All proceeds will benefit the Yuletide Hunger Program of Independence and Seven Hills. Collectively, IMS brought in 1136 canned goods and raised $1145.75. Student Council and Builders Club would like to thank all who contributed so generously to help those in need. You have definitely made the holidays a little brighter for many local families. #iPride

IMS fifth graders, with teacher Mr. Joe Durny in the lead, donated time and money during advisory to make 100 bagged lunches, 4 frozen turkeys, 50 lbs of bananas for the homeless of St. Augustine Hunger Center. Each lunch contained a handwritten kindness note and a picture to bring some sunshine into the recipient's life. Taking what they have been learning in classes. Time last week was spent creating bagged lunches for the needy. 5th Graders put Advisory words of EFFORT, KINDNESS, MINDFULNESS, AND PLANNING into this project...all Words of the Week!
