Independence residents will have the opportunity to connect, explore, and celebrate local businesses and student talents at the inaugural Community Expo on Saturday, May 10, from 9 AM to 1 PM at Independence Middle School (6111 Archwood Road).

The event, organized by the City of Independence Economic Development Department in partnership with Independence Local Schools, aims to strengthen community ties by bringing together local businesses, schools, city services, and residents. Attendees can browse exhibits from Independence-based businesses and residents who own businesses, learning more about the goods and services available in the area.

Beyond the business showcase, the expo will feature student performances, interactive sports drills, educational seminars, and concessions. The school’s auditorium will host musical and vocal performances, the gym will hold sports-related activities, and classrooms will be used for engaging seminars.

The Community Expo is free and open to all residents. Whether you're looking to support local businesses, engage with students, or simply connect with neighbors, this event promises something for everyone.
