Cuyahoga Valley Career Center Student Spotlight

Easton Strychasz is a junior at Independence High School and is enrolled in Cuyahoga Valley Career Center's Power Equipment Technology (PET) program instructed by Mr. Koenig. Having an interest in fixing motors, Easton thought this program would be a good fit for him. He enjoys the hands-on learning component, specifically being able to work in the shop. Easton feels everything in the program so far has come pretty naturally for him, which he contributes to Mr. Koenig’s quality teaching. Easton is a mechanic at Kurtz Bros., Inc., a local landscape supply company. He also has his own landscaping business as well.

In his free time, Easton works on cars, trucks and snow mobiles. He plans to go on to a technical school and become a diesel technician. Easton already has a job offer from his current employer upon his graduation.
