Independence Middle School Fifth Graders Explore Future Careers Through Hands-On Career Kits

Fifth-grade students at Independence Middle School had the opportunity to step into a variety of future careers during an engaging hands-on learning experience featuring Career Kits from the Career Center on May 13.

Throughout the day, students explored more than 10 different career paths, giving them a chance to learn about professions in interactive and meaningful ways. From firefighting and veterinary technology to engineering and other skilled careers, students rotated through activities that introduced them to the tools, skills, and responsibilities connected to each field.

The hands-on experience encouraged students to think about their own interests and future possibilities while learning through exploration and teamwork.

The event was coordinated with the support of Career Specialist Rachel Barbiaux and Cuyahoga Valley Career Center whose efforts helped bring the experience to Independence Middle School students.
