February marks Love the Bus Month, and Independence Local Schools is proud to recognize the dedicated transportation team that safely delivers our students to and from school each day.
Our school buses do more than transport students — they provide a consistent, caring first and last connection to the school day. Rain or shine, our drivers and transportation staff prioritize safety, build positive relationships with students, and help ensure every child arrives ready to learn.
Love the Bus Month is an opportunity for our school community to say “thank you” to the professionals who keep our district moving. From early morning routes to afternoon drop-offs, their commitment plays a vital role in supporting academic success and maintaining strong connections between our schools and the Independence community.
Throughout February, we encourage families, students, and staff to share messages of appreciation and recognize the important work of our transportation department.
