As the 2024–2025 school year draws to a close, Independence Local Schools paused to celebrate the dedication, talent, and teamwork that shaped a year filled with milestones, progress, and student success. Superintendent Kelli Cogan hosted the End-of-Year Program on Wednesday, June 4, at Independence High School, recognizing staff contributions and service across the district.

In a festive atmosphere that included treats from Jack Frost Donuts and fresh brews of Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck, thanks to discretionary funds secured through the ESC, staff from every building gathered to reflect on the year’s achievements. Cogan shared her deep appreciation with the team, saying, “It has been a privilege to serve as your superintendent, and I am deeply grateful for the warm welcome, support, and collaboration that have made this first year so meaningful for me.”

The program spotlighted years-of-service milestones, highlighting those whose loyalty and impact have left an indelible mark on the district:
