Incredible Turnout at Independence Primary's Inaugural Happy Hearts Family Dance

More than 300 families totaling 500+ people turned out for joyful fun and dancing at the first annual Happy Hearts Family Dance hosted by Independence Primary School PTO on Saturday, February 3. The sold-out event brought together families for a night filled with pizza, photo booths, dancing, Valentine’s Day crafts, and board games at the Independence Civic Center.

This new Family Dance took the place of the school’s annual Mother/Son and Father/Daughter events from previous years.  From the incredible turnout, this event will definitely become a new tradition for all the families at Independence Primary School.

“What a great time! Thank you for always making this special for our children…and us,” said parent Noelle Ostrowski.

“We had such a fun time and love seeing all the kids let loose and just dance, smile and laugh! Great job IPS PTO,” said parent Alyscia Zabukovec.

Special thanks to Taylor Blanch (IPS PTO Family Event Coordinator), IPS PTO executive board, Dave Synek, Tom Walchanowicz, Emily Thomas, Romitos Pizza, and the Civic Center custodial staff.

“Such a fun event…thank you IPS PTO for organizing,” said parent Rebecca Somnitz.

Thank you to all our families who shared pictures on the IPS PTO Facebook page!
