Brandon Ineman

Brandon Ineman is a senior at Independence High School enrolled in the Electrical Systems program, instructed by Joseph McNamee, at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center. As soon as Brandon learned about the opportunity to attend CVCC, it was a no-brainer; he has always known he didn’t want to attend college, but rather wanted to begin working in a trade immediately after graduation. Brandon's step-brother was in the Electrical Systems program and talked very highly of it, which is what ultimately drew Brandon to CVCC and the program. Brandon really appreciates that CVCC has opened the door for endless opportunities and has given him something to strive for. He also appreciates that his program isn’t super structured like a typical high school class, but rather Mr. McNamee gives the students the freedom to choose their groups for class projects which allows everyone to figure out who they work well with to perform to the best of their ability.

“Brandon’s growth and understanding of the expectations from year one at CVCC to year two at CVCC has been tremendous!” -Joseph McNamee, Electrical Systems Instructor

After graduation, Brandon plans on doing an electrician apprenticeship and continuing to work his way up with the skills he has learned at CVCC. His advice to future students is to talk to those who have been in your program of interest and hear about what you’ll learn and gain from the program. Doing this helped Brandon make his decision to join the Electrical Systems program.

“The way the Electrical Systems program is organized truly sets you up for success. I am confident that I am ready and qualified to work in the field after graduation. I view Mr. McNamee as my boss more than I do my teacher, which has really made a positive impact and a difference on my experience within the program. I thank him for that.” -Brandon Ineman

Outside of academics, Brandon works at Panera Bread and enjoys racing and riding his motorcycle.
