Music Theatre International’s
All Together Now!: A Global Event Celebrating Local Theatre
Performances take place November 12 & 13, 2021
A fantastic selection of songs are featured in this brand new musical revue from shows including Matilda, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Once on This Island, Newsies, High School Musical, American Idiot, Little Shop of Horrors, Mamma Mia! and many more!
The Independence Middle School (IMS) Drama Club announced that they will be joining thousands of theatrical organizations around the globe by producing their local production of Music Theatre International’s All Together Now!: A Global Event Celebrating Local Theatre. Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International (MTI) created this revue for theatres across the globe to use as a local fundraising event performed over the same weekend of November 12, 2021.  IMS performances are scheduled for November 12 & 13 at 7 PM in the IMS Auditorium. All tickets will be purchased at the door, for $7, with General Admission seating.
All Together Now! features songs from MTI’s beloved catalog of musicals including AnnieDisney’s Beauty and the BeastGuys and DollsLittle Shop of Horrors, Mamma Mia!Matilda, Once on This IslandAmerican Idiot, High School Musical, and many more! 
MTI’s President and CEO, Drew Cohen stated, “MTI’s All Together Now! is about bringing people back to the theatre, whether as audience members or cast, crew, and musicians. The revue features songs from the world’s most iconic musicals, so there is something for everyone to enjoy. Our goal with this worldwide event is for organizations to provide hope, inspiration, and excitement to their communities through the transformative power of musical theatre.”
The Independence production, directed and produced by Gretchen Obrovac and choreographed by Rebecca Justice, includes a wide array of students, in both the middle and high school. More than 70 cast, crew members and student producers are involved with this outstanding production. Everyone has put a lot of effort into it and is glad to have theater back!
“Supporting theatrical arts has and always will be a priority for me, personally,” said Principal Jamie Vanek, Independence Middle School.  “So much creativity and passion happen for all that find themselves in the arts.   Our district is fortunate to have such a strong program for our 5th-12th grade students under the direction of Mrs. Obrovac.”
