2021-2022 Bus Route Information

New bus routes will be out on Monday, August 16 in the afternoon. Due to our shortage of drivers, we have to move to corner/group stops. There is a nationwide shortage of school bus drivers and now it has hit close to home. Routes will be accessible on our website under Bus Route with instructions on how to download our new app for route information.

We appreciate your support as we work through this to find solutions.

You will be able to access your child's bus information in a couple convenient ways this year using an app called Ride 360 or the Traversa Ride 360 website . I am attaching instructions (Web Directions) If you are using the web based version, the URL code is https://ohindependencelsd.traversaride360.com/. (App Directions) for downloading the new app which will give you your child's bus information. This system will also allow you to communicate to the transportation department and allow us to communicate with you (ex. bus is running late). You will use your child's school ID number to find their information. If you do not see bus information for your child it is because you did not respond to the email that was sent in May which gave everyone until July to sign up for busing. If this is the case please email me at [email protected] and I will add your child to a bus so they can begin riding on September 7th. Parents of pre-school students that are eligible for transportation will get a phone call with their routing information the week before pre-school starts.

According to CDC guidelines, the school bus is considered public transportation and everyone is required to wear a mask on the bus no matter if they are mandated in the schools or not. Your child cannot ride the bus if they are not wearing a mask.

I believe new students that signed up for busing are already routed in, if you are not please contact me at [email protected] We are also asking that any 3rd and 4th grade students that will be attending after school care at the field house fill out the special circumstance form below.

Special circumstances (shared parenting, daycare, different address from home) or changes must be made directly to the Transportation Office by opening, downloading, and completing the following form (CLICK HERE) and emailing it to [email protected]

We appreciate your help with this new process and will be working to offer a smooth transition into the 2021-22 school year!
