Good morning, IHS! Today is Friday, October 15th, 2021. Please stand for the pledge.

Attention students, if you or your parents ordered a pink shirt, please stop in the main office and pick it up.

Any IHS student interested in joining the Varsity JustWrite creative writing team, please send Mrs. Wagner an email or let Chloe Firrell or Alana Novak know about your intentions. The tournaments will be in-person this year. Team t-shirts will be ordered soon, so please let Mrs. Wagner, Chloe or Alana know by the end of today if you are interested in joining this year’s competitive-writing team.

Next week there are several college visits planned for IHS students. Please sign up through Naviance to attend these sessions: on Monday, Hiram College, on Tuesday, University of Dayton and Gannon University, on Wednesday, University of Mount Union, and on Friday, Youngstown State University.

Congratulations to Hallie Pillar. You have won the drawing for participating in the September yearbook Blue and Gold Survey. Please see Mrs. Panteck in the main office to pick up your $10 gift card. The yearbook advisors look forward to your participation in these surveys, we will be raffling a gift card each month with a new winner.

The Land Lab Open House will be held tomorrow from noon to 4. Hike the trails, rummage the pond, visit with the classroom animals, and more!

Do you like destruction? Do you need service hours? Volunteers are needed for a bridge replacement Eagle Project at the Richfield Heritage Preserve. The project will take place on October 30th and 31st. You do not need to stay all day. If you are interested, please take a flier from the main office and sign up.
