Independence Local Schools' IPride Star of the Week
Independence Local Schools' IPride Star of the Week
Independence Local Schools has launched a new program to recognize those individuals who go over and beyond and make a difference in other people's lives. They are extraordinary...unique... talented...and deserve to be recognized.

Meet our #IPrideStars of the Week! Through the Independence Local Schools Facebook page, we will introduce you to our IPride Stars. They can be students, teachers, staff, alumni, residents, businesses or other community members. We hope these individuals and their stories inspire you and bring a smile to your face. We will chronicle all of our IPride Stars using the hashtag #IPrideStar on Twitter and Facebook so be sure to follow!
This week's IPride Star of the Week is Carolyn Klima, a student at Independence High School. In her Computer Apps 1 course at Independence High School, Carolyn created a blog that follows Indy athletics. This was not an "assignment" and she has created an amazing website that follows our athletic teams from a student-viewpoint. Her site makes her a published author and she has left positive digital footprints worth following. She was nominated by Technology Director Mike Pennington.
