New Student Registration (excluding KG)

The Registration Process

In order to successfully register in Independence Local Schools, please follow the steps outlined below. 
  1. Complete online forms PRIOR to your registration appointment?
    1. CLICK HERE to create a new account.
    2. This system will be used every fall to update your child(rens) contact information, emergency medical forms, and bus routing information
      1. *Already have a child enrolled in Independence Schools?
        1. Sign into your OneView Account and choose "Enroll New Student(s)?
  2. Complete the paper forms below PRIOR to your registration appointment
    1. Residence Affidavit
    2. Purchase/Lease Agreement, or Rental Affidavit, or Proof of Residency/Occupancy
    3. It is the obligation of the resident to prove he/she resides in the school district.  The district WILL NOT enroll the child(ren) without proof of residency.
  3. Additional proof of residency 
    1. ?Two Recent Utility Bill       
  4. Personal Identification in the form of a picture ID of the legal custodian of the child(ren) being registered.
  5. Child(ren) Birth Certificate
    1. Must be original or certified copy OR a passport.
  6. Request for Release of Student Record, completed and signed.
  7. Immunization Record
  8. If Applicable
    1. Proof of Custody or Guardianship
    2. Current IEP or MFE
