                                                                                           High School Teaching Position 

                                                                    7-12 Math Teacher for Independence High School

                                                                              (Starting with the 2019-2020 School Year)

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our school family. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- High character, with a willingness to go above and beyond for students on a daily basis, both in and out of the classroom setting.
-A strong desire and ability to establish a positive classroom culture, where engagement, grit, and student creativity will be encouraged.
-The dexterity to blend 21st Century instructional practices along with the best of traditional classroom methods.
-The resourcefulness to collaborate with department members and colleagues from other subject areas. A new staff member will be        expected to bring their ideas and thoughts to our school family in an effort to constantly improve our instructional program.
-Skills to differentiate mathematics instruction and find/develop new ways to engage all learners.
-The capacity to help all of our students achieve a base of mathematical knowledge that will help them be successful in whatever their future pathway may be.
-The aspiration to grow professionally and instructionally, and to engage in reflective practices. The successful candidate will always be looking for ways to personally improve and innovate in the classroom.
-The successful candidate will bring their passion for mathematics to our A.P. Statistics course, as they will be able to infuse the course with their own ideas and creativity.
-Previous teaching experience preferred, but not required.
-Hold a 7-12 Integrated Mathematics licensure in Ohio

                                                                          Custodian – Independence High School – 1st Shift
                                                                                                            INTERNAL ONLY

HOURS:    
6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (12 months)
PAY:          
Per Negotiated Agreement

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
2. One to two years related experience desired
3. Must be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and painting
4. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to use most common hand tools
5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate
6. Background check required

REPORTS TO:    
Principal and Assistant Service Manager         

JOB GOAL:                
This individual is responsible for duties as outlined in the custodian job description.  Routine care, protection, and preservation of the school building are of most importance in providing our students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to learn, play, and develop.
