 Licensing Requirements
            Valid Ohio Teaching License with Computer Science Endorsement
            High School Teaching Licensure with Computer Science Experience

 Job Goals
Grow a rigorous computer science/informational technologies curriculum 9th - 12th grade.
Develop elective courses designed to give students vital technology skills
Develop A.P. Computer Science Principles course beginning in 2019-2020 school year

Essential Functions
Plan and implement lessons and activities in accordance with ISTE Standards for Students.
Effectively manage student behavior and organize classroom systems/procedures to ensure all students are fully engaged        in learning.
Establish a culture of learning that stresses:
¦      Grit
¦      Failing Forward
¦      Rigor
¦      Collaboration & Communication
¦      Digital Ethics

Serve as a technology resource and coach for teachers at Independence High School.
Communicate with students, parents, and staff concerning student performance and opportunities for learning.

Girls’ Volleyball – Head Coach
Prior Head Coaching Experience Preferred


1. Be a professional staff member of the Independence Local Schools (preferable).
2. Shall have had experience in the coaching of interscholastic athletic teams.
3. Shall have administrative and supervisory ability.
4. Shall be a person of high moral standards with a reputation for integrity.
5. Shall possess proven qualities of leadership; be friendly to students, staff, and other adults; sympathetic to student and staff problems; businesslike in       relationship to students and staff.
6. Shall have demonstrated the ability to organize and administer.
7. Shall have the ability to work with the Athletic Director to establish a positive athletic image for the school and community.
8. Shall be able to effectively communicate his/her ideas to others; be a good speaker and conversationalist; and be able to write well.
9. Shall demonstrate the ability to develop a good working relationship with the student athletes, Athletic Director, Building Principal and other coaching personnel; shall exhibit a willingness to support building and school district policies.
The Head Coach will work directly under the supervision of the Athletic Director.  He/she shall assume direct responsibility for the coaching responsibilities of his/her athletic program and for assistant coaches under his direction in the Independence Schools interscholastic athletic program.
