Daily Announcements

Good Morning, IHS! Today is Monday, January 27th, 2020. Please stand and join us in reciting the pledge of allegiance.

Happy birthday today to Nathan Zmecek and Collin Patton.

Group picture day is this Wednesday, January 29th.  A list of the times each group will have their picture taken is hanging up in the main office.  You MUST be here on that day as we will not have retakes.

Attention seniors: The senior class group picture will be taken at 8:15 in the gym on Wednesday. Arrive by 8:10 wearing your senior class t-shirt.

Attention DFCA Members: two prime parking spaces are up for raffle! If you are interested in winning a space for ALL of 3rd quarter, see Mrs. Panteck by the end of the day today to enter the raffle!

Students interested in CCP for the school year 2020-2021 should be sure to attend the information meeting for STUDENTS and PARENTS tomorrow right after school (@ 2:45) in the IHS auditorium! This is where you will get information about how CCP works, important deadlines, and important information so that all understand the process. See your grade level counselor if you have any questions!

Attention seniors: this is just a friendly reminder that your senior capstone pathways form is due to Mrs. Stefanski by Feb. 21st. Forms can be found on the high school webpage or in the main office. If you are doing the senior capstone, you need to find a faculty advisor and a community sponsor. Forms are due to your faculty advisor by April 24th. See Mrs. Stefanski or Mr. McGuinness with questions.

It's not too early to start thinking about prom. There are coupons from David's Bridal in the main office for upto $50 off your purchase.  Stop by and pick up your coupon.

The University of Findlay College of Pharmacy has opened registration for the 13th Annual Pharmacy Summer Camp which will take place June 21-25. The camp is open to high school students who will become a junior or senior in the fall of 2020. The first 60 students to register will be included in the program. More information can be found on the IHS Guidance website.

Hastings Water Works is looking to hire students to lifeguard this summer at pools close to where they live. They staff pools all over Northeast Ohio and conduct all lifeguard training in-house with the American Red Cross for anyone not certified. All they require is that students who apply are strong swimmers. If you have any questions, contact Hasting Water Works at (440) 832-7705 or visit the IHS Guidance webpage under Employment Opportunities for more informatio.

Have a great day learning today, here at IHS!
