The Benefits of Developing A Business/School Partnership
With Independence Schools

More and more businesses are thinking “out of the box” and partnering with their local school districts to reach an untapped audience that are students, teachers, staff, parents, and community members. School districts are benefiting by discovering an alternative means of funds as well as getting the public relations benefit of showing its community and school parents that they are being creative in finding new ways of funding for the district. Business-school partnerships improve residents’ perceptions of the positive impact of business and education working together in the local community.

It is critical that schools look at new ways to expand their resources and work together with businesses and schools open up a whole new audience for businesses wishing to gain public awareness as a business that cares about the quality of education in their community. In addition, partnerships are a great morale booster for employees by showing them they have made a difference in a child’s life.

Many local businesses are finding true value in partnering with their local school district. By making an investment in a sponsorship of a program, activity, class, or even school building, it is an opportunity to show a commitment to the community where they do business. From underwriting technology, events, publications and naming rights on facilities and grounds to mentoring, providing speakers, internships, field trips or professional development, there is a wide range of opportunities for businesses to give of their time, talent, energy and/or resources.
